The Costa Blanca News reported that bogus Reps purporting to be from
Iberdrola were knocking on doors and asking for cash in Orba.
They are now in the *ORIHUELA COSTA* calling on houses. . They have an
Iberdrola ID card ( obviously false or forged ) asking to see your bill
then offering to change your meter readings from bi-monthly to monthly or
vice versa. They suggest that to do this you have to pay pay in full any
outstanding amount to have this put into effect, asking for the cash and
saying you will get a receipt. They are very pleasant and convincing.
* BUT they are bogus.*
Iberdrola never cold call and neither will they ask for money. If you have
any problem they will make an appointment or only call if you have already
asked them visit you and will always have your contract details in advance.
Please make your neighbours aware of these bog callers to ensure that they
do not get caught out
